1. Imagine there's a light source on the right upper side.
Figure out the shaded area and paint it.
2. Paint once more and mark the darkest area as well.
3. Mark the darkest area one more time in a much darker tone.
4 .Paint the other area again in a moderate tone.
5. Mark the darkest area one more time in a much darker tone.
6. Paint dark side one more time.
7.  Work on the upper area. it should get lighter as it goes up.
8. Make sure to add mid tone so it looks natural.
(In watercolor paining, you always have to wait
until the paper is dry before you work on the same area.)
9. Work on the lower area as well.
10. Lighter and darker areas should look naturally conneced
so please keep adding mid tone to overall area.
(Use short and dense brushstroke just like pencil drawing.
Don't forget to check the paper is dry already.)
11. When you paint the shadow, it should get lighter as it goes farther away from the sphere.
12. For 3D effect, the edge of the top area should look a bit darker.
