How to give a 3d effect to an apple
1. Sketch an apple and devide areas as above.
2. Paint the lower part of the apple.
3. paint the middle zone with the deepest color.
4. color upper areas. Going up, use brighter colors.
5. Refer to the image here.
6. Color the leaf.
7. Work on the lower areas so the color of each zone changes gradually.
8. Color the shadow.
9. Add middle tone around each boundary line.
10. Color the shaded area near the stem.
11. Add more middle tone to the lowest part.
12. Work on the overall lower part once more.
13. Add patterns to the leaf.
14. Color the shadow once more. Finished!
